“As a new establishment, Esscom might have weaknesses and shortcomings. But we should be fair and give it a chance to carry out its functions to the fulfillment of our expectations,”

KOTA KINABALU: Sabah Chief Minister Musa Aman has urged all parties to continue supporting the East Sabah Security Command (ESSC om) in discharging its responsibilities. He said Esscom must be given time and space to identify and rectify its weaknesses and shortcomings.

“As a new establishment, Esscom might have weaknesses and shortcomings. But we should be fair and give it a chance to carry out its functions to the fulfillment of our expectations,” he told reporters on the last day of the State Assembly sitting here yesterday.

He also urged everyone in Sabah especially those living within the Eastern Sabah Security Zone (Esszone) to put aside their differences and help Esscom achieve its objectives.

“The people can play a role in channeling information to ESSCom and this can build a good partnership in the interest of security,” he said.

Musa said Esscom would have the full backing of the government in ensuring that the security agency performed its duties effectively.

Meanwhile, he noted with satisfaction, the active participation of Barisan Nasional representatives at the assembly sitting, saying they should continue to fight for the grassroots.

He also accepted that the opposition usually had a load of criticisms, be they constructive or for political mileage.

“We will accept the constructive ones with goodwill, on the other hand, we also want the opposition to acknowledge BN’s efforts and its successes in bringing progress and prosperity to the country and people,” he said. - Bernama

Ulasan:

Tiada masalah beri Esscom peluang, cuma yang menjadi masalah besar buat rakyat Sabah ialah apabila kerajaan umno/BN terus diberikan peluang memerintah.. Dibawah kerajaan Musa Aman, terbukti barisan kabinetnya hanya pandai berucap, merasmikan majlis, mempengerusikan mesyuarat, berjumpa kroni dan menafikan masalah-masalah rakyat..
