“His violent and extremist culture is does not suit to Sabah and we call out for the state government to ban him from entering the state,”
KOTA KINABALU: The Barisan Nasional Youth coalition here has called for the Musa Aman administration to ban Perkasa president Ibrahim Ali from entering the state.
“Ibrahim was defeated in the last general election in his area which is populated by a majority of Malay voters, which shows that people have rejected his extreme leadership.
“His violent and extremist culture is does not suit to Sabah and we call out for the state government to ban him from entering the state,” said PBRS Sook division youth chief Kahirin Bador.
Speaking to reporters here, the Tataba Wave BN Youth Coalition comprising PBRS, PBS and Upko slammed Ibrahim for criticising and calling for the resignation of Sabah federal minister Joseph Kurup.
Ibrahim had reportedly demanded that Kurup resign for saying hudud would disrupt interracial ties in the country if enforced.
“Ibrahim does not have the power to give directions to the Prime Minister on how to administer the government line-up cabinet.
“He has no power to compel Kurup to resign as Minister in the Prime Minister’s Department.
“Kurup’s efforts in keeping unity of races and religious harmony in the this country has always been a complex and challenging one.
“Kurup has always shown good faith in ensuring the unity of ethnics and religions in Malaysia is kept in the best condition.
“This is why he said the implementation of hudud law will threaten unity and harmony in our multi-racial and multi-religious society,” said Kahirin.
Kahirin, who represented the three-party youth coalition, said all three native parties pledged their loyal support to the Pensiangan MP.
